tooth news

Sam is my tooth-losing fiend. He had one come out yesterday on the way to school and another this afternoon just after he got off the bus. Are they doing something to these kids at school? =)
He is so proud about his lost teeth (4 in total now) but John and I are scrambling. What did the Tooth Fairy leave you when you were a kid? We started out with a silver dollar but we only have two of those and we want to save one for James. Any suggestions?
And just because I took a picture of Sam, James wanted me to take one of him too. Look at that smile!

I think the best thing I got from the tooth fairy was $1.

The kids on our block get up to $20 - that's not gonna happen in our house. We usually only get a dollar or two (two dollar bills are fun) but the tooth fairy was scrambling one night and only had a 5. One day Melanie had a REALLY loose tooth and I wanted to wiggle it and she screamed, "NO! Last time you pulled my tooth I only got $2, but when I do it, I get $5!" So now I guess $5 is the standard.

You can get the gold Pocahontas dollars from the SEPTA machines, I think.

We took Katie to the dentist a few weeks ago and the hygienist told her it wouldn't be long until she'd start loosing her teeth, so everyday for a month we've been hearing about these teeth. The other day we discovered that yes indeed, she's got 2 loose teeth! AHHH! How is it possible I have a child old enough for loose teeth! (She's getting a tooth fairy bracelet for the first one... no idea what we're doing for the rest!)
